iTunesU and the Hasso Plattner Institut

I read an article today about the german Hasso-Plattner Institut to publish recodings from lectures and more at iTunesU. Since iTunesU seems only pretty widespread at US universities and I always tried to NOT install iTunes I heard from it the first time and gave it a try!

Since the HPI is an institute for information technology, more precisely software engineering, it is pretty interesting watching lectures to get a basic know-how on a certain topic. Unfortunately most of the HPI lectures are too short and just cutouts but in a good quality. Really interesting are the recordings from the tele-TASK-Symposium 2008, there you can find interesting presentations on language processing and semantic technologies.

It is also interesting to search through the whole iTunesU database for keywords like machine learning or retrieval to find stuff from universities like Stanford or University of Arizona.
