Google and Information Clustering

I already wrote a small article on how Google is using text clustering to improve their Google News service. It seems that Google starts to integrate text clustering in more and more of their services – last week they released a new Blog Search clustering feature to summarize topics in blogs. (I’m still waiting for the german version to test their text clustering quality)

On the Google Blog Search start page you don’t even have to search anymore, you can start discovering topics right away.

Beside the automatic clustering of similar topics you can choose between a category system based upon 11 categories.

When will Google start to integrate clustering in their ordinary yet boring google search? Where else on Google’s services is information clustering being used?
