Last week Apache UIMA released an additional server architecture for a better UIMA integration in enterprise software systems. Important facts:
- Asynchronous
- Based on JMS
- Load Balancing
- Communication based upon HTTP
These are great news. I’m thinking back 3 years ago when starting a product development powered by UIMA were we had to implement scalability, communication and asynchronous execution by ourselves.
