If you ever wonder why you’re getting connection timeouts sitting behind a dsl or dialup line while connecting to remote servers?!
I had this kind of problem and it took me a lot of time to explore the www to find a solution. In the end I just looked into the ssh manual and found the missing configuration parameter:
KeepAlive yes
By putting this parameter you’ll never get kicked out again!
